Rules & Regulations
By purchasing a ticket from Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (the “Foundation” or “Licensee”) for the Spring 2023 Heart & Stroke Lottery, the Purchaser acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules and regulations (“Rules”). “Purchaser” means a person: (i) purchasing a ticket(s) for his/her personal use; (ii) purchasing a ticket(s) on behalf of a group where the purchaser’s name and up to two additional names and/or a group name appear on all ticket(s), or (iii) purchasing a ticket that is allocated to another individual or group of which the Purchaser is not a member. The Purchaser’s name shall always appear as the first name on any ticket purchased. All Purchasers are subject to these rules. The Foundation has no obligation or liability to any person named on a ticket other than the Purchaser. The liability of the Foundation shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket. It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to allocate the prize if necessary.
The odds of winning are 1 to 2. All inquiries regarding the 1 to 2 odds of winning, conduct, prizing, and procedures of the Lottery are to be made to the Licensee prior to the order of ticket(s).
Classic Lottery
Eligibility
Ticket Purchasers and any other persons named on a ticket must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets must be purchased within the province of Ontario and cannot be mailed outside of Ontario. Only tickets that have been paid and verified as paid by the respective sales deadline are eligible. The Rules prohibit the following individuals and all persons residing in the same household as these individuals from purchasing a ticket: Employees and Board Directors of the Foundation; partners and employees of the ticket fulfillment service provider and its affiliates, and employees of licensed gaming suppliers for the Classic Lottery.
Tickets
Tickets will be available for purchase until June 16, 2023 at 11:59 pm or while supplies last. There are 126,000 tickets printed (120,000 tickets will be sold and 6,000 to be awarded as prizes). Tickets are $100 individually, $250 for a 3-Pack, or $375 for a 5-pack. Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order. The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible. Only one method of payment may be used per order. Tickets are only refundable prior to the draw date for which they are eligible. Purchases placed online or where an email address is provided will receive an order confirmation by email followed by an email containing the digital ticket number (s) (allow 3-4 business days for receipt of email with digital ticket numbers. When selected, physical ticket(s) will be mailed to the address provided at the time of the order (allow a minimum of 14 business days). It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that ticket(s) are received before the applicable draws commence. The Foundation is not responsible for orders that are not received on time or at all. Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, the total liability of the Foundation to any Purchaser shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
Up to three names may be recorded on a Classic Lottery ticket. The Purchaser must be named on the ticket. Any requests to change the name(s) on an official ticket must be received prior to the draw date for which the ticket is eligible. For mail orders only, the change of name must be accompanied with a copy of the Purchaser’s government issued photo ID.

Prizes
All values are in $CDN. There are 51,617 prizes to be won, valued at $4,401,216.13 (including all taxes, fees and freight). All prizes are tax-exempt for Ontario residents and must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions may be requested except where a cash alternative option is specified. Prizes awarded may not be as illustrated. Prizes may be subject to substitution of a prize of equivalent value and similar nature to be determined at the sole discretion of the Foundation.
Loyalty Prizes: There are four Loyalty prizes to be awarded, each consisting of one Samsung Home Entertainment package with a value of $5,066.80. Each of the 4 Samsung Home Entertainment packages consists of: Samsung 65” 4K Neo QLED TV + Soundbar. VIP Prizes: There are 6,001 VIP prizes to be awarded, consisting of one prize of $50,000 cash, and 6,000 prizes of one free $100 Heart & Stroke Classic Lottery ticket. Early Bird Prize: There will be one Vehicle Package prize. This package includes a 2022 Ford F-150 Lariat Sport (value at $85,200.00) and a 25ft Citation Reward Travel Trailer (value at $126,043.59). Total package value $211,243.59 or cash out equal to $170,000.
Grand Prizes: There are five Grand Prizes. Grand Prizes 1 & 2: Cash prize of $1 million each; Grand Prize 3: Winner must choose one of the two options available: option 1, a 2022 BMW M440i xDrive Cabriole (valued at $101,805.00) OR option 2, a 2022 Lexus LC500 Coupe (valued at $123,009.00) or cash out equal to $110,000. Grand Prize 4: There will be one Vehicle Package prize. This package includes a 2022 Bronco Sport (valued at $51,439.00) and two 2023 Yamaha EX Deluxe Waverunner & Trailer (valued at $41,123.82). Total package value $92,562.82 or cash out equal to $75,000. Grand Prize 5: Boat - Legend E-Series 21 Cruise – Blue, Mooring Cover, Motor - 90 ELPT CT 4S, Trailer - Shoreland'r PT2122A (valued at $80,633.09) or cash out equal to $60,000. Recreational Prizes: There are five Recreational Prizes. Recreational Prizes 1-5: Cash prize of $2,000 each. Electronics Prizes: There are 1,001 Electronic prizes including: 25 JBL JBLFLIP5BLKAM Speaker (valued at $193.84 each), 25 JBL JBLT230NCTWSBAM True Wireless NC earbuds (valued at $158.36 each), 950 JBL JBLT510BTBLKAM Wireless On ear Headphones (valued at $91.69 each) and 1 65” Samsung Frame TV (valued at $2,589.95 each) Gift Card Prizes: There are 32,100 prizes of $25 gift cards. Winners must choose between the 5 retailers available: Indigo, Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, HBC and Home Hardware. Mastercard Prepaid Card Prizes: There are 12,500 Mastercard Prepaid card prizes of $25 each. These prizes will be awarded as Mastercard Prepaid cards personalized in the name of the Purchaser.
Draws
All prize draws for the Heart & Stroke Classic Lottery will take place at the Heart & Stroke Toronto Office located at 2300 Yonge St, Suite 1200, Toronto, ON, M4P 1E4. Prizes will be drawn using Random Number Generator (RNG) software, and winning tickets will be eligible for subsequent draws. The sequence of draws will be as follows: The first draw will be for the Loyalty Prizes. Only tickets purchased by 11:59pm April 21, 2023 will qualify for the Loyalty Prize Draws. The draws (4 prizes) will take place on May 4, 2023 at approx. 10:00am. The second draw will be for the VIP Prizes. Only tickets purchased by 11:59pm May 12, 2023 will qualify for the VIP Prize draws. The draw (6001 prizes) will take place on May 25, 2023 at approx. 10:00am. The third draw will be for the Early Bird Prize. Only tickets purchased by 11:59pm, June 9, 2023 will qualify for the Early Bird Prize Draw. The draw (1 prize) will take place on June 22, 2023 at approx.10:00am. The last and final prize draw will be for the 50/50 Jackpot (see below), electronics, Gift Cards, Mastercard Prepaid cards, 5 Grand Prizes and 5 Recreational Prizes. Only tickets purchased by 11:59pm, June 16, 2023 will qualify for the Final Prize Draw (45,612 prizes). The draws will take place on June 28, 2023 approx.10:00am.*
* If all tickets for the Classic Lottery are sold before the Early Bird Deadline (June 9, 2023 at 11:59pm), draws for all remaining prizes will be made on June 22, 2023 at approx. 10:00am. The first draw will be for the Early Bird Prize; followed by the 50/50 Jackpot (see below), electronics, Gift Cards, Mastercard Prepaid cards, 5 Grand Prizes and 5 Recreational Prizes.
Prize Winner Notification
All winners (in each case, the Purchaser named on the drawn ticket) will be notified in writing within 4 – 6 weeks of the prize draw and major prize winners (greater than $10,000 in prize value) may also be contacted by phone. From the first draw date on May 4, 2023, winners will be posted on the Heart & Stroke Lottery website and social media pages. A complete searchable winners list will be available at www.heartandstrokelottery.ca/past-winners at approx. 4 p.m. on June 29, 2023. A copy of a government issued photo ID may be required to claim prizes. Prize(s) must be claimed no later than six months after the final draw date. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation to the Foundation will be approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”).
Prize Claim
Prizes will be awarded to the Purchaser named on the official ticket. By claiming a prize, the winner (i.e. successful purchaser) consents to the use of their likeness (photograph, if available), first and last name, ticket number, city or town of residence, video recording (when available only) and transcription/recording of the winner notification phone call to be used for any publicity purposes by the Foundation. Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks for delivery of prize from draw date. Delivery time for vehicles, boats, and campers may be longer. Vehicle and boat winners are responsible to licence and insure the vehicle or boat from the time of ownership. Winners may be required to sign a full & final release prior to transfer of the prize.
The Foundation is only responsible for communicating with the Purchasers and is not responsible for any prize entitlement of any other individual(s). Prizes stated are retail value with taxes, freight and applicable fees included as of the date contracts were agreed upon with suppliers and are independently verified by prize supplier, as per AGCO rules.
Privacy

We will use your personal information to administer and evaluate the Lottery, including contacting, announcing and promoting prize winners. In addition, we may maintain a record and share details of your interaction and contact information for donor-related, promotional, follow-up and tax receipting communications, where applicable. 50/50 Draw
Tickets
50/50 Draw tickets must be ordered in conjunction with a Classic Lottery ticket. All Rules applicable to the Lottery also apply to the 50/50 Draw. The winner of the 50/50 Draw prize will receive 50% of the total accumulated jackpot. There is a minimum guaranteed payout of $500,000. The total jackpot is dependent upon the gross revenue generated from 50/50 Draw tickets sold. Tickets are a 5-Pack for $25, 15-Pack for $50 or 25-Pack for $75. The total number of 50/50 tickets available for sale is unlimited.

Gifting
Purchaser(s) will be notified of winnings. It is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser to track distribution of ticket number(s) and allocate any winnings. Cheques will be made payable to the Purchaser. Cheques will be mailed to the address provided by the Purchaser at the time of ticket order.
Prizes
All values are in $CDN. There are 3,131 prizes to be won, for a total value of $465,000 (including all applicable fees and taxes). All prizes are tax-exempt for Ontario residents and must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions except where a cash alternative option is specified. Prizes awarded may not be as illustrated.
Daily Cash Prizes: There are a total of 31 prizes of $10,000 each to be awarded for daily draws. Daily Mastercard Prepaid Cards: There are a total of 3,100 $50 Mastercard Prepaid Cards to be awarded. There will be 100 Prepaid Mastercard Prepaid Cards awarded daily between July 1 to 31, 2023.
Draws
All prize draws for the Heart & Stroke July Monday Calendar Lottery will take place at the Heart & Stroke Toronto Office located at 2300 Yonge St, Suite 1200, Toronto, ON, M4P 1E4. Prizes will be drawn using Random Number Generator (RNG) software, and winning tickets will be eligible for subsequent draws. Only tickets purchased by 11:59 pm, June 16, 2023 will qualify for the Daily Cash and Daily Mastercard Prepaid Cards (3,131 Prizes). The draws will take place on June 28, 2023 at approx.10:00 a.m. All winners of the daily Cash prizes and Mastercard Prepaid Card Prizes will be notified in writing within 2 weeks of the day for which their winning ticket was selected.
